in the way they suffocate her,

his jaw muscles flexing and lips tightening to form

deliberate
syllable
his personality stretching and expanding to fill the vacuum left by her fear,
her retraction
her perceived nothingness
I don’t know who he is, but he’s not someone I’d want to be around. You’ve captured him perfectly.
