My North

in the black of night,
cool breeze flap-flapping
a marbled rhythm,
we hum a fevered hue

hunger slithering
over peaked flesh,
you, the only star
in my sky

breath in spasms as your
fingers trace moonlit
blue constellations,
like a predatory dot-to-dot

gooseflesh the Braille
guiding me home,
and I, hoping this
journey never ends
